Turn on the copier, and short the jumper
wires JP3 and JP4 on the DC controller
PCB with a screwdriver.
* The countratio indicator on the control
panel turns on 'F'.

When
'F' has turned on, stop shorting
the jumper wires JP3 and JP4.
Ending Service Mode
Press the Clear/Stop key.
Selecting Items in Service Mode
While the count/ratio indicator is indicat-
ing 'F', choose the appropriate item by
pressing the +/- key.
¢ The tens column of the classification
number starts to flash.
* The number changes between 30 and
62 in response to the key operation.
Press the Start key to select the item.
* The flashing classification number
changes to the flashing current setting.
Using Adjustment Mode and Machine
Settings Mode
Change the setting by pressing the +/-
key.
* The setting starts to flash.
Press the AE key to select the setting.
¢ The setting stops flashing and remains
on.
* A press on the Start key starts copying
operation. (adjustment mode '30' only)

To change the setting once again, repeat
steps 1) and 2) without an interruption.
Press the Clear/Stop key to return to
item selection.
Using Operation/inspection Mode
Press the Start key to execute
the
appropriate service mode.
« The item number keeps flashing while
the mode is being executed.
Press the Clear/Stop key so that item
selection returns after operation.
* If the mode is of a type that automati-
cally ends the operation, item selection
will return automatically,
Resetting a Back-Up Error Code
If E000", 'E001', 'E002', or 'E003' is indi-
cated, remove
the cause
of the error, and
reset the error as follows:

While shorting the jumper wires JP3 and
JP4 on the DC controller PCB with a
screwdriver, turn on the copier.
* The count/ratio indicator turns on 'F'.
Turn off and then on the copier to check
copying operation.
The power turns off automatically upon
detection of "E000, 'E001', E002", or
'E003'. If you turn on the power in this
condition, the error code in question
will appear once again and the power
will turn off automatically once again.
To find out which error code tums off
the power, perform the foregoing steps
after disconnecting the heater connec-
tor (J207) from the composite power
supply PCB to protect the heater.
