This document is a global document. Contact your system supplier or your

Subject

This Nortel technical publication (NTP) provides information specific to the
implementation of fiber-optic links that connect a local system to multiple
Remote IPE modules using a pair of Fiber Remote Multi-IPE Interface
units.
It describes the operation of the Fiber Remote Multi-IPE Interface
equipment and provides specific information on how to install and maintain
this equipment as an integral part of the local system. Fiber Remote
Multi-IPE Interface configuration procedures are identical to the equivalent
non-fiber equipment. However, there are some additional software
commands that can be executed using the Man-Machine Interface (MMI)
terminal to specifically control fiber-optic equipment.
