Interpreting BIOS error messages

When a recoverable error occurs during the POST, an error message
appears describing the problem.
If BIOS error messages appear, record the error messages and then call Nortel
technical support before attempting to correct the problem.

BIOS error messages appear on the video monitor. Refer to the following
table for a description of the messages.

Description
A fatal error indicates a possible serious system problem
occurred.
A problem with the onboard video card occurred indicating
a fault on the server board.

ATTENTION
Description
An error occurred with Gate A20 when
switching to protected mode during
the memory test.
Could not read sector from
corresponding drive.
The corresponding drive is not
an ATAPI (Advanced Technology
Attachment Packet Interface) device.
Run Setup to make sure the device is
selected correctly.
No response from the disk drive.
The battery is losing power. Replace
the battery soon.
