4). Rotating speed is normal, but starting is difficult all along
Step Operation
1 Set ignition switch in "ON". Check with scanner
to see if there is failure information record.
2 Check if air filter is smooth.
3 After successful starting, check to see if intake
manifold pressure is between 35-55kPa when
idling.
4 Slightly step down on throttle to see if the
starting is easy.
5 Connect fuel pressure gauge valve. Strap the
30# and 87# pins of fuel pump relay to make
fuel pump work, and then check if fuel pressure
is at about 350kPa.
6 Provide 12V voltage directly from accumulator
to injector with special connector, and check if
injector is working in good order.
7 Recheck injector to see if it is working in good
order after cleaning.
8 Replace fuel and check if fuel is deteriorated or
contains water.
9 Check if fuel pressure is lower than 350kPa
10 Shut down fuel gauge valve. Switch on ignition
switch again to make fuel pump work once
more, and check if fuel pressure is established.
11 Turn on fuel guage valve, clamp fuel return pipe
with fuel return interceptor to ensure no fuel
return, and check if fuel pressure is formed
rapidly.
12 Check if leakage or clogging occurs in fuel inlet
pipe.
13 Check if fuel return pipe is blocked up or bent.
14 Pull out the idle speed stepper motor connector
on wire
temperature reaches 35℃ to see if engine speed
declines.
15 Set ignition switch in "ON". Check if the
voltages of the following pins of ECU are in
good order: if the accumulator voltage is about
12V on 15#, 29# and 47#, while 0 on 27# and
28#.
