3). Vehicle warm starting is difficult
Step
Operation
1
Set ignition switch in "ON". Check with scanner
to see if there is failure information record.
2
Connect fuel pressure gauge valve. Strap the 30#
and 87# pins of fuel pump relay to make fuel
pump work, and then check if fuel pressure is at
about 350kPa.
3
Disconnect fuel pipe and shut down ignition
switch to see if the pressure of fuel system can
maintain between 250-300kPa an hour later.
4
Connect fuel pipe and intercept fuel return pipe
with the interceptor, and at the same time, shut
down fuel pressure gauge valve. Also shut down
ignition switch to see if the pressure of fuel system
can maintain between 250-300kPa an hour later.
5
Check if fuel leakage occurs in injector and fuel
pipe.
6
Unplug water temperature sensor connector and
make engine start. Check to see if the starting is
successful.
7
Connect commutator between ECU and wire
harness. Check if there are voltages on ECU's
44#, 45#, 63#, 12# and 13# pins, and then check if
the anode power line connecting the aforesaid
ECU pins and ground wire connecting ECU's 3#,
51#, 53#, 61# and 80# pins are in good condition.
8
Replace fuel, and carry out warm starting again to
see if successful.
9
Check if fuel pipe is blocked up or bent, and if
fuel pump pressure regulating valve is working in
good order.
10
Check with multimeter to see if there is
accumulator voltage on both terminals of socket
connector of fuel pump.
11
Check with multimeter to see if the resistance
