Failure: too low circuit voltage of intake pressure sensor
Step
Operation
Connect scanner and commutator, and then turn
1
ignition switch to "ON".
Check Intake Pressure in data stream to see if it is
2
around 101kpa (specific value is related to site
elevation and air pressure).
Unplug intake pressure sensor connector from wire
harness and check the voltage between Pin 3 and
3
Pin 1 (i.e. between reference power supply and
signal grounding) of the connector to see if it is
around 5V.
Check respectively connections between Pin 54 of
ECU and Pin 1 of sensor connector, Pin 75 of ECU
4
and Pin 3 of sensor connector, Pin 68 of ECU and
Pin 4 of sensor connector to see if short circuit
occurs.
Start engine and idle it. Slowly step down
accelerating pedal to dead position and observe
value of Intake Pressure on scanner, and it does not
5
vary much; quickly step down accelerating pedal to
dead position, the instant increase of value of Intake
Pressure reaches 90kpa or more.
Start engine and idle it. Observe value of Coolant
6
Temperature, it increases along with coolant
temperature.
Failure: too high indication of engine coolant temperature sensor
Step
Operation
Connect scanner and commutator, and then turn
1
ignition switch to "ON".
Check Coolant Temperature in data stream to see if
it is equivalent to engine temperature (specific value
is related to engine temperature at that very
2
moment)
Note: -40℃ value shown constantly may indicate
open circuit.
3
Unplug coolant temperature sensor connector from
wire harness and check the resistance value between
