4.13 PULSE GENERATOR

4.13.1 Overview
The CPU uses a pulse generator to check the
drum clock during a copy cycle. When the Start
key is pressed, the main motor turns on and
the clock signal is generated by the revolution
of the disk assembly.

4.13.3 Service Call Conditions
Self Diagnostic Code 61:
1. Definition
This code is generated if the CPU does not receive a pulse for longer than 1
second during a copy cycle.
2. Symptoms
When the Start key is pressed there is no machine activity except for the scanner
motor, and code 61 is displayed in the copy counter.
3. Points to Check
Check the main motor, the ac drive board, the main board and the pulse
generator. Check if the main relay (RA-1) is working.
