4. Vertical Black Line

When pulling out the development unit, the toner shield glass is moved out
of position due to contact with the development unit.
1. The toner shield glass is stained with toner due to a defective inlet seal
on the development unit.
2. The lens and mirrors are dirty.
3. The edge of the cleaning blade is damaged.
4. An over concentration of toner causes the black stripe.
1. Scratched drum.
2. Scratched hot roller.
3. Stained or blackened exposure glass.
4. Glue from mailing labels sticks to the drum surface, resulting in toner
build-up.
5. The edge of the cleaning blade is damaged.
