10. Light Intensity Adjustment
(Exposure Lamp Voltage Adjustment)
NOTE: a. This adjustment should be
done when the rest time
compensation of the bias
voltage is 0V. If the main power
switch has just been turned on,
make ten copies before
proceeding to check the light
intensity. The test copy should
be made 10 seconds after the
tenth copy was made.
b. ADS voltage adjustment must
be done after light intensity
adjustment.
ADJUSTMENT STANDARD:
Level 2 of the gray scale on the OS-A3 chart should be faintly visible on the copy
when the 4th level of the density control is selected.
1. Clean the optics (mirrors, lens, reflectors, exposure glass, toner shield glass).
2. Turn on the main switch and allow it to warm up.
3. Set the image density level at the No. 4 position and make 11 test copies of the
OS-A3 test chart.
4. Confirm that the second level of the gray scale is faintly visible on the 11th copy.
If the light intensity is not correct, proceed to steps 5 and 6.
5. Remove the left cover (4 screws). (If a sorter is installed, the sorter and the sorter
adapter should be removed.)
6. Adjust VR1 on the lamp regulator board to achieve properly illuminated copies.

previous copies, check the light intensity on the 4th copy.
• If it is over 3 minutes, check the light intensity on the 6th copy.
