Problem
White copy
1. Charge is not applied.
Due to C-B power pack failure, poor contact of the H-V lead wire, or a
broken wire, charge is not applied on the drum surface.
2. The copy image is not transferred to the paper.
Due to transfer /separation P.P. failure, poor contact of the H.V lead
wire, or a broken wire, the copy image is not transferred to the paper.
Note: When the transfer/separation P.P fails, a faintly visible image will
appear on the copy image. However, when the bias/charge P.P. fails,
no image will appear.
3. The development roller does not turn.
Due to slippage of the roller or a broken drive gear caused by an
overload, the development roller does not turn.
4. Correct bias voltage is not applied.
If the bias terminal is not connected properly, the development roller
will be electrically floating. As a result the charge on the drum surface
will induce the roller voltage to its level.
This results in the toner not being transferred from the roller, (when
copying back slid originals).
5. The front door safety switch is open.
