4.10.1 Replacement and Adjustment
1. Cleaning Unit Removal
1. Remove the development unit.
2. Lower the T/S corona unit.
3. Remove the charge corona unit (1 screw)
and the drum stay (1 knob and 1 screw).
NOTE: The drum stay knob has a reverse
thread.
4. Swing the toner collection bottle cover to
the left.
5. Remove the toner collection bottle.
6. Slide out the cleaning unit.
CAUTION: Be sure the pick-off pawls are kept
away from the drum when
removing the cleaning unit, or
serious drum damage will result.
2. Cleaning Blade Replacement
1. Take out the cleaning unit. (See Cleaning
Unit Removal.)
2. Remove the cleaning blade (1 screw).
3. Dust the edge of the new cleaning blade
with setting powder.
4. Install the new cleaning blade.
CAUTION: 1. Be careful not to touch the edge
of the new blade.
2. After installing the blade, make
sure that the blade swivels.
