2. T/S Corona Unit Release Lever
When the paper misfeed occurs, lower the T/S
corona unit as shown for easy paper removal.
The T/S corona unit is secured to the guide rail
bracket with a screw to prevent the corona unit
from coming out when lowering and raising it.
3. Transport Drive
The transport unit is driven by the main drive
chain when the main motor is turning.
The rotation is transmitted to the transport
drive gear and through the transport roller to
the transport belt.
4. Toner Collection Bottle Vibration
The toner collection bottle is vibrated to
prevent toner from building up in one place.
The main drive chain turns the drive sprocket.
The drive sprocket has a gear on the reverse
side which turns the cam drive gear.
A pin on the cam drive gear rotates the cam
wheel. This wheel has six slots in which the pin
catches; so, the cam wheel turns 1/6 of a
revolution for each full turn of the cam drive
gear.
The cam part of the cam wheel pushes the
cam lever out as it turns. The pin on the other
end of the cam lever pushes the vibration link
and toner collection bottle holder toward the
front of the copier.
This bottle holder pushes the toner collection
bottle against the spring installed inside the
bottle cover. When the cam wheel completes
one turn, the cam lever is released and the
spring pushes the toner collection bottle quickly
toward the rear of the copier. This action keeps
the toner inside the toner collection bottle level.
