3. Cleaning Brush Replacement
1. Remove the cleaning unit drive gear (1
Allen screw), the collar, and the bushing
from the rear end of the cleaning brush
shaft.
2. Remove the bushing from the front end (1
E-ring).
3. Take out the cleaning brush with the brush
shaft holder (1 screw).
4. Take the brush shaft holder off the front
end (1 E-ring).
5. Dust the new brush with setting powder
and install it in the cleaning unit.
NOTE: 1. Do not touch the new brush; handle only the shaft.
2. Be careful not to damage the entrance seal.
4. Pick-off Pawls Replacement
1. Remove the collection coil gear from the
toner collection shaft (1 E-ring).
2. Remove the bottle joint seal and the toner
collection coil cover (1 screw).
3. Slide out the toner collection coil from the
front of the cleaning unit.
NOTE: Toner will fall out when the coil is
pulled.
4. Remove the pawl shaft pin from the pawl
shaft.
5. Push the pawl shaft to the rear and slide off
the cam holder from the front side plate.
6. Take out the whole pawl shaft assembly.
7. Slide off the cam holder and cam rider.
8. Slide off the front pick-off pawl (1
positioning pin) and the front pawl spring (1
screw).
9. Slide off the rear pick-off pawl (1
positioning pin).
10. Set new pick-off pawls on the shaft and
position them with the positioning pins and
pawl springs.
