MAINTENANCE
4. Add DOT 4 brake fluid to proper specification
MEASUREMENT
Brake Reservoir Fluid Level:
0.1125±0.0625 in (2.856±1.588 mm)
From reservoir top
IMPORTANT
Do not overfill.
5. Reinstall gasket.
6. Install cover and fasteners. Torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Brake Reservoir Cover Fasteners:
6-8 in-lbs (0.68-0.90 N·m)

result in loss of brakes, which could cause an accident
and lead to serious injury or death. Never operate the
adequate time for the exhaust system to cool. Never
During the bleeding procedure, keep the brake reservoir
or lever as level as possible. The reservoir must be in
this position to minimize the possibility of air entering the
system through the reservoir vent.
1. Remove the three reservoir cover fasteners
