6-2. Command Description
d) Display REW bit Mode (Service setting command No. 15)
Enter "15" as a command and press the ENTER key.
The current REW bit Mode setting will be displayed. (Default: OFF)
When this mode is ON, the REW bit default value of the MODE SENSE/MODE SELECT device
configuration page (when the power is turned on) is set to 1.
When this mode is OFF, the REW bit default value of the MODE SENSE/MODE SELECT device
configuration page (when the power is turned on) is set to 0.

Report Early Warning Mode
SERV =>
e) Display PetaServe Mode (Service setting command No. 71)
Enter "71" as a command and press the ENTER key.
The current PetaServe Mode setting will be displayed. (Default: OFF)
When this mode is ON, the following two SCSI command specifications will differ from the standard
GY-2120 specifications.
[1] Locate (2BH) command
When the CDB byte 1 bit 0 (immediate bit) is "0", actual locate operations are performed.
(Standard specifications:Only the logical pointer moves)
[2] Read Position (34H) command
When the CDB byte 1 bit 4 is "1", the tape physical position (ID) is returned to the initiator.
(Standard specifications:CC:Illegal Request when the CDB byte 1 bit 4 is "1".)
When this mode is OFF, the standard specifications are set.
