6. Adjust the TG-3 (Exit Guide) and TG-4
Height
(1) Set the S cassette tape and put the unit into
the FWD mode.
(2) Turn the upper flanges of TG-3 and TG-4
using a tape guide adjustment driver and
adjust the height of TG-3 and TG-4 so that
the specification 2 is satisfied.
7. Adjust the TG-5 (Threading Roller)
Height
(only when the specification is not
satisfied in S-1 mode and S-5 mode)
(1) Put the unit into the EJECT mode.
(2) Take out the cassette tape.
(3) Turn the upper flange of TG-5 using the tape
guide adjustment driver and adjust the height
of TG-5 so that the specification 2 is
satisfied.
(4) Set the S cassette tape and put the unit into
the S-1 mode or S-5 mode. At this time,
check that the tape running condition satisfies
specification 2.
If it is not satisfied, repeat steps (1) through (4)
mentioned above.
8. Recheck the Tape Running at Drum
Exit Side
Refer to steps 3 through 7.
If the specification 2 is not satisfied, perform the
adjustment in step 6 again.
(If the specification 2 is not satisfied in S-1 mode
and S-5 mode , perform the adjustment in step 7
again.)

9. Adjust the Slant Guide Slantness
(1) Loosen the fixing screw of the adjustment
plate by 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
(2) Insert a 3 mm flatblade screwdriver into the
notch of the adjustment plate.
(3) Adjust the slantness of the slant guide so that
specification 3 is satisfied.
(4) Tighten the screw loosened in step (1).
(5) Recheck that specification 3 is satisfied
referring to steps 4 and 5.
If it is not satisfied, repeat steps (1) through (5)
mentioned above.
