(2) Precautions on using Compass mode
・Direction measurement cannot be made correctly if the watch is placed near objects generating
strong magnetism. When using the Compass mode, keep the watch away from the following objects:
Ex.) Permanent magnets such as magnetic necklace, metallic doors, high-tension wires, overhead
wires, and household electrical appliances such as television and refrigerator.
・Direction measurement cannot be made correctly inside transportation vehicles such as trains,
planes and automobiles.
・Correct direction measurement cannot be obtained indoors, particularly inside reinforced
concrete buildings.
・Measurement error may be larger at places near the North Pole or South Pole.
・If the watch is magnetized during storage, the Compass mode may not measure directions

correctly. Keep it away from objects generating strong magnetism such as permanent
magnets (magnetic necklace, etc.), household electrical appliances (television, personal
computer, refrigerator, etc.), and cellular phone.

16 directions are shown in alphabets.
 (In this example, direction measured is northwest (NW).)

・The five dots (■ ■ ■ ■ ■) indicate north, and  the single 
dots (■) indicate east, west, and south, respectively.
・Azimuth  angle  display  indicates  the  clockwise 
angle between the north and 12 o'clock position.
・Current time is displayed in the bottom row.
