Clocking
Features
Reproducible response times (i.e. of the same length) are achieved for the
SIMATIC with an equidistant DP bus cycle and the synchronization of the following
free-running individual cycles:
S Free-running cycle of the user program. On account of acyclic program
branching the length of the cycle time can vary.
S Free-running, variable DP cycle on the PROFIBUS subnet
S Free-running cycle on the DP slave backplane bus
S Free-running cycle for signal conditioning and conversion in the electronic
modules of the DP slaves
With equidistance, the DP cycle is synchronized and has the same length. The
sequence layers of a CPU (OB 61 to OB 64) and the clocked I/O are synchronized
in this cycle. The I/O data are transferred at defined and constant intervals
(clocking). The maximum jitter is 10 ms.
Requirements
S Clocking is possible with the IM 151-1 HIGH FEATURE with the following
