Important:
An IPSI in a port network (PN) that is backed up with the Enterprise Survivable
Important:
Server (ESS) option must use static addressing for the ESS to provide service to
the PN.
You administer the static IP address for the circuit pack directly through the Ethernet port
connection on the faceplate (top port). For more information, see
Figure 5: Connecting the laptop directly to the IPSI
