After Communication Manager 5.2 is running on the server, subsequent use of Manage
Software for upgrades will provide enhancements when compared to previous releases.
Release 5.2 of Communication Manager has implemented upgrade improvements to provide a
more robust and remotely successful distributed Communication Manager System upgrade
experience. These upgrade improvements in Release 5.2 of Communication Manager enable
you to:
Reduce copy size from files size (which currently can approach 100MB) to something
more granular (for example: block size) such that when remote upgrades are being
performed over a bouncing network as much of the copying is done without re-transmittal.
Support SCP and HTTPS protocol, which is added to allow secure file transfers.
