6. Remaster the hard drive and
install the software.

7. Install post-upgrade service
pack file.

service pack updates, if any in

8. Set time, date, and time zone.

9. Restore all data to the server.

10. Restore data backup.

11. Reboot the server

Task
Steps/Comments
Set Telnet parameters
Remaster hard drive and install upgrade
software
ICC Mode: To use CMM (formerly known
as IA770), select yes on Run AUDIX
Installation screen
LSP Mode: Select No on Run AUDIX
Installation screen.
Verify software version
ICC Mode: The time zone of the new ICC must
be set, and all LSPs under the ICC's control must
be set to the new ICC's time zone.
LSP Mode: The time of the LSP must be set to
the same time zone as its primary controller,
even if the LSP is physically located in a different
time zone.
If you have not already done so, in the Record
Configuration Information task, record all of the
configuration information, regardless of the
release from which you are upgrading.
You will re-enter some of this information after the
upgrade.
Select the restore procedure according to the
release from which you upgraded.
ICC Mode: Restore Translations and
AUDIX files, if used.
LSP Mode: Restore operating system and
security files.
A server reboot (Shutdown with/restart)
should be done. Use the Shutdown Server link on
the System Management Interface (SMI).
