Loosen setscrew ❺ in the spreader stopper and
adjust the position of spreader stopper ❻. Then fix

the spreader in place. (Make the same adjustment
for both left/right spreaders.)

In the case of the outer needle, the correct timing
is such that the left spreader completely closes at
the moment when the end face (side face) of the
needle is aligned with the top end of the left looper

When the inner needle rests at its lower dead point,
the right spreader is in the closed state.

down. Then, fix the spreader driving shaft guide by

tightening the setscrew.
