(5) Lubricating the needle bar and the gear section

Lubricate the components at the time of delivery or after an extended period of disuse.

1) Loosen setscrews ❶ and remove face plate ❷.
2) Apply one or two drops of oil to needle bar bushing
❸, needle bar ❹ and felt ❽.
3) Loosen setscrew ❾. Remove rear cover .
4) Loosen setscrew ❺ and remove the upper face
cover ❻.
Remove the cover with care since the air
tube is connected with the cord.
5) Apply oil to gear lubricating felt ❼ in the sewing
machine arm.
6) After lubrication, install face plate ❷ and upper face
cover ❻.
Be careful not to allow the cords to be
caught in the machine.
