Removing the Reel Assembly

Removal of the cutting reel requires removal of the left or right side plate from
the cutting unit frame. The opposite side plate does not have to be removed from
the frame to service the cutting reel.
1.
Position the machine on a clean and level surface, lower the cutting units,
stop the engine, engage the parking brake and remove the key from the
ignition switch.
2. Remove the cutting unit from the machine and place the cutting unit on a
flat work surface.
3.
If the cutting unit is equipped with an optional groomer or rear roller brush,
remove the drive components for those options from cutting unit. Refer to
Removing the Drive Plate (page 8–8)
