Hydraulic System: Service and Repairs
Do not clamp vise jaws against the center of the cylinder barrel.
Clamp on the cap end of the barrel ONLY.
7. Mount the cylinder securely in a vise by clamping on the cap end of the
barrel. Using a vise with soft jaws is recommended.
8. Apply a few drops of high strength thread locker to the threads of the
cylinder barrel and install the external collar. Use a pipe wrench to tighten
the external collar.
