1. Drive pulley
9. Using the flats provided on the groomer reel shaft to prevent the groomer
reel from turning, remove the locknut that secures the driven pulley to the
groomer reel and remove the driven pulley.
10. Safely prevent the reel from rotating by blocking the cutting reel with a piece
of wood near one of the reel spiders.
11. Loosen and remove the drive pulley from the cutting reel.
12. Remove the idler arm extension spring.
13. Remove the two shoulder bolts that secure the drive plate assembly to
the cutting unit and remove the groomer drive plate assembly. Locate and
retrieve the shim.
14. Inspect the seals, bushings and bearings in the drive plate, support plate and
groomer arms for wear or damage. Replace components as needed.
