Flushing the Hydraulic System

Hydraulic System: Service and Repairs
If a component failure occurs in the traction circuit; refer to
Filtering the Closed-Loop Traction Circuit (page 4–76)
information.
Flush the hydraulic system whenever there is a severe component
failure or the system is contaminated (for example, the fluid appears
milky, black, or contains metal particles).
1. Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, lower the
cutting units and stop the engine. Remove key from the ignition switch.
2. Read and adhere to the information provided in
Removing and Installing the Hydraulic System Components (page
Flush the hydraulic system with the hydraulic fluid as warm as
