Testing the Key Switch

The key (ignition) switch located on the control panel has three (3) positions
(OFF, RUN and START).
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting units and stop the
engine.
2. Disconnect the wire harness from the key switch and remove the key switch
from the control panel if necessary.
3. Use a multimeter (ohms setting) and the preceding table to determine
whether continuity exists between the various terminals for each switch
position.
4. Replace the switch if necessary.
5. If the switch tests correctly and a circuit problem still exists, check the wire
harnesses; refer to
6. Connect the wire harness to the key switch after testing.
