How to Adjust the Platform
Settling Speed
1 Remove the platform controls from the platform
and place the controls near the diagnostic
display at the ground control panel.
2 Turn the key switch to the off position.
3 Models without outriggers: Press and hold
the horn button and platform extend/retract
enable button, then turn the key switch to
platform control.
Models with outriggers: Press and hold the
horn button and the outrigger enable button,
then turn the key switch to platform control.

4 The fault-code display window at the ground
controls will show "PS". When you see this
code, release the horn button and the platform
extend/retract enable button or outrigger enable
button.
The "PS" in the fault code display
window indicates that the ECM is
in the programming mode.
5 Press and hold the platform up/down select
toggle switch in the down direction to show the
platform settling speed percentage in the fault-
code display window.
6 To increase or decrease the platform settling
speed, press and hold the platform up/down
select toggle switch in the down direction while
using the steering rocker switch to adjust the
function speed. Refer to Section 2,
Specifications.
7 Release the platform up/down select toggle
a
switch.
8 Turn the key switch to the off position to save
the settings.
Component Damage Hazard. The
Platform Settling Speed is
intended to slow the rate of
a
platform descent just before the
reaching the stowed position.
Adjust the Platform Settling Speed
until the Platform Settling Speed
percentage is 3 to 5 points less
than the Platform Lowering
Speed percentage.
