9 If equipped, close the two hydraulic shutoff
valves located at the hydraulic tank.

engine must not be started with
the hydraulic tank shutoff valves in
the closed position or component
damage will occur. If the tank
valves are closed, remove the key
from the key switch and tag the
machine to inform personnel of the
condition.

10 Remove the drain plug from the hydraulic tank
and completely drain the tank into a suitable
container. See capacity specifications.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to squirt
or spray.

hot engine parts and oil. Contact
with hot oil and/or hot engine parts
may cause severe burns.
11 Tag, disconnect and plug the two suction hoses
that are attached to the hydraulic tank
shutoff valves or tank.
