ENGINES
6 Install the pump and bell housing assembly.
Torque the bell housing mounting bolts in
sequence to 28 ft-lbs / 38 Nm.
Component damage hazard.
When installing the pump, do not
force the pump coupler into the
flexplate or damage to the pump
shaft seal may occur.
Component damage hazard. Do
not force the drive pump during
installation or the flex plate teeth
may become damaged.
7 Torque the bell housing mounting bolts in
sequence to 40 ft-lbs / 54 Nm.
8 Ford models: Install the air cleaner mount
bracket onto the bell housing. Install the
fasteners and torque to 28 ft-lbs / 38 Nm.
