Modular Port Concentrators (MPCs; see
slots that accept Modular Interface Cards (MICs). These MICs add Ethernet ports to your
services gateway. You must install at least one MPC in the services gateway. You can
install MPCs into any of the slots

NOTE:
The SRX5400 Services Gateway does not support the I/O cards
(IOCs) or Flex IOCs supported by the SRX5600 and SRX5800 Services
Gateways. MPCs are the only supported interface cards for the SRX5400
Services Gateway.
If a slot in the card cage is not occupied by a card, you must install a blank panel to shield
the empty slot and to allow cooling air to circulate properly through the services gateway.
If a slot in an MPC is not occupied by a MIC, you must install a blank panel in the empty
MIC slot to shield it and to allow cooling air to circulate properly through the MPC.
