Replace the Hydraulic Filter
Elements
Genie requires that this procedure be performed
annually or every 1000 hours, whichever comes
first. Perform this procedure more often if dusty
conditions exist.
Replacement of the hydraulic filters is essential for
good machine performance and service life. A dirty
or clogged filter may cause the machine to perform
poorly and continued use may cause component
damage. Extremely dirty conditions may require
that the filter be replaced more often.
Bodily injury hazard. Beware of
hot oil. Contact with hot oil may
cause severe burns.
Note: Perform this procedure with the engine off.
Hydraulic return filter:
1 Open the ground controls side turntable cover
and locate the hydraulic return filter mounted on
the hydraulic tank.
2 Place a suitable container under the hydraulic
tank return filter.
3 Remove the filter with an oil filter wrench.
4 Apply a thin layer of fresh oil to the gasket of
the new oil filter.

and tighten it securely by hand. Clean up any
oil that may have spilled during the installation
procedure.
6 Use a permanent ink marker to write the date
and number of hours from the hour meter on

Medium and high pressure filters:

the oscillating axle circuit and flatform manifold.
