Replace the Drive Hub Oil

Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 1000 hours or annually,
whichever comes first.
Replacing the drive hub oil is essential for good
machine performance and service life. Failure to
replace the drive hub oil at yearly intervals may
cause the machine to perform poorly and continued
use may result in component damage

Select the drive hub to be serviced. Drive the
machine until one of the two plugs is at the
lowest point.

Remove the plugs and drain the oil into a
suitable container.

Drive the machine until one of the two plugs is
at the highest point.

Fill the hub until the oil level is even with the
bottom of the lowest plug hole. Refer to
Specifications, Machine Specifications.

Repeat this procedure for each drive hub.

Replace the Hydraulic Return
Filter
Genie specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 1000 hours or annually,
whichever comes first.
Perform this procedure more often if dusty
conditions exist.
Replacement of the hydraulic filters is essential for
good machine performance and service life. A dirty
or clogged filter may cause the machine to perform
poorly and continued use may cause component
damage. Extremely dirty conditions may require
that the filter be replaced more often.
Note: Perform this procedure with the engine off.

Locate the hydraulic return filter housing on
top of the hydraulic tank.

Clean the area around the oil filter housing cap
located on top of the reservoir.

Remove the cap from the housing.

Lift the handle on the filter element and rotate
the element counterclockwise to release the
element from the housing.
5
Remove the filter element from the filter
housing.
6
Install the new oil filter element into the filter
housing.
