Register Paper Feeding Positions
Set the standard paper feeding position for automatic adjustment.
Select a tray to be adjusted and enter the number of sheets of paper to be used for the
adjustment. Selecting [Start] feeds the specified number of sheets and adjusts the standard
feeding position.
Only Trays 1 to 3, Tray 5 (Bypass), Trays 6 and 7 (optional) can be adjusted.

Clean Fusing Unit
You can clean the fusing unit to improve the image quality. Select the cleaning method from
[Clean with Felt] and [Clean with Paper].

Process Control Setup
Automatically adjusts the density deviation when lowering of the density reproducibility
occurs on copying or printing.
Productivity Mode
The printing environment can be configured to perform more productive printing.
The following items can be configured:
Optimize for Image Quality
This mode sustains high productivity when paper of the same type and weight is used to
print continuously.
The printer automatically switches the fusing temperature depending on the type and
weight of the paper used.
This mode provides optimum print quality regardless of paper types or weights, however, it
may take time to switch the temperature of the Fusing Unit. The waiting time becomes
longer as the weight difference between the papers to be switched becomes greater.
Optimize for Speed
This mode sustains high productivity when different types or weights of paper loaded on
multiple Trays are combined in a job.
The printer runs at a constant temperature which reduces waiting time derived by the
differences among paper types.
However, the temperature of the Fusing Unit is set to provide the best results on heavy
weight paper, therefore, the glossiness of the light weight paper increases. Also, image
quality adjustments may not be performed when the paper types change, which causes
considerable variation in print quality.

Watermark

Watermark is the function to print text or background pattern on the whole page to inhibit
the replication of documents.
You can configure Watermark settings such as date or text, background pattern, and
watermark to embed.
• You can clean the fusing unit under both the Local User mode and the System Administration mode.
When you clean the unit as a Local User, select [Clean Fusing Unit] on the Services Home Screen. For
information on how to display [Clean Fusing Unit] on the Services Home Screen, refer to "Services
Home - Additional Features" (P.425).
