Adjust Air Assist Values
The air-assist function forces air between sheets to eliminate the issue of multi-feeds and
paper jams. You can use this option to adjust the air-assist volume (amount of air to be fed)
for individual custom paper type. Select from [Auto], [Standard Table], [Multi-Feed Handling
Table], [Misfeed Handling Table], [Custom Table 1 to 4], and [Force OFF].
Selecting [Force OFF] disables the air-assist function. When [Auto] is selected, the machine
adjusts the air-assist volume in accordance with the type and weight of the selected paper.
Normally, you do not have to set [Custom Table 1 to 4]. Our service representative sets this
setting if necessary.

Adjust Image Transfer
When a toner image transferred on paper is not optimal, you can use this option to set an
optimal transfer voltage for custom paper. Select from [Auto], [Enter Percentage], and
[Select Sample Number].
When [Auto] is selected, transfer voltage is automatically adjusted.
When [Enter Percentage] is selected, set the applied voltage amount in the relative
percentage to the reference voltage value between 10 and 300 %. Different values can be
configured for Side 1 and Side 2.
Also you can adjust transfer voltage by scanning a sample printout for adjustment printed
in [Select Sample Number].
For more information on the image transfer adjustment using sample set, refer to "Adjust Image Transfer Using Sample
Printout" (P.720).
When [Select Sample Number] is selected, select from the preset adjustment values,
between -5 and 10.
Adjust Regi-Loop
If you adjust skew for the pre-registration feed, you can use this option to set the
adjustment value for each custom paper.
For the pre-registration feed, set the adjustment value between -9 and 9 mm in 0.3 mm
increments.
Adjust Regi-Loop during Side Shifting
If side-to-side shifting often occurs during paper feeding, you can use this option to set
whether to correct side shifting and feed skew.
Select from [Auto], [Side Shifting & Feed Skew Correction], [Side Shifting Only], [Feed Skew

Correction Only], and [Off].
Select [Auto] to apply auto correction for side shifting and feed skew.
Select [Off] not to apply auto correction.
Adjust Fold Position
When outputting copies using a folding or booklet binding option, you can adjust the
folding position. Select from [Default Value] or [Type 1] to [Type 10]. You can set an
appropriate folding position in accordance with the type and size of paper selected and
register it to any of [Type 1] to [Type 10].

Adjust Image Transfer for Trail Edge
When an irregular color occurring only at the trail edge in using heavyweight paper,
