FUNCTIONS FOR TRANSMIT
When you find a DX station, an important considera-
tion is how to set the split frequency.
When you hold down the
split frequency operation is turned ON and the trans-
mit frequency is equalized to the received frequency.
This shortens the time needed to begin split fre-
quency operation.
The quick split function is ON by default. For your
convenience, it can be turned OFF in Others set
mode. (p. 12-13) In this case, the

The split lock function is convenient for changing only
the transmit frequency. When the split lock function
is not used, accidentally releasing [XFC] while rotat-
ing the main dial, changes the receive frequency. The
split lock function is ON by default, but can be turned
OFF in set mode. (p. 12-13)
q While split frequency operation is ON, push [LOCK]
to activate the split lock function.
w While pushing [XFC], rotate the main dial to
change the transmit frequency.
• If you accidentally release [XFC] while rotating the main
dial, the receive frequency does NOT change.
