IGNITION TIMING CHECKS AD
4. Measure:
*Spark plug gap
Out of specification * Regap.
Use a wire gauge.
Spark Plug Gap:
0.7 - 0.8
5. Tighten:
NOTE:
Before installing a spark plug, clean the gasket
surface and plug surface.
Spark Plug:
13 Nm (1.3 m-kg, 9.4 ftelb)
NOTE:
If a torque wrench is not available when you are
installing a spark plug, a good estimate of the cor-
rect torque is l/4 to l/2 turns part finger tight.
Have the spark plug torqued to the correct value
as soon as possible with a torque wrench.

*Timing light @
To the $1 spark plug lead.
Inductive tachometer
