NOTE:
The tapered side of ring nut must face down-
ward.

NOTE:
Make sure the lock washer tab is placed in the
s l o t s .

Check the steering stem by turning it lock to
lock. If there is any binding, remove the
steering stem assembly and inspect the steer-
ing bearings 0, 0.
Install the washer @ .
Install the ring nut (Upper) 0.
TIGHTEN THE RING NUT 0 ,
then align the slots of both ring nuts. If not
a l i g n e d , h o l d t h e l o w e r r i n g n u t @
tighten the other until they are aligned.
Install the lock washer 8.
Install the handle crown @ , and tighten
the steering stem nut @ to specification.
Nut (Steering Stem):
110 Nm (11.0 m-kg, 80 ft. lb)
Brake hose joint

Brake (Brake Hose Joint):
10 Nm (1.0 m- kg, 7.2 ft. lb)
Front fork (Left and right)
