IGNITION TIMING CHECKING PROCEDURE
SPARK PLUG INSPECTION/
6. Install :
• Spark Plug
Spark Plug :
NOTE :
• Before installing a Spark Plug, clean the Gas-
ket surface and Plug surface.
• If a Torque Wrench is not available, a good
estimate of the correct tightening torque is to
finger tighten ¿ the Spark Plug and then
tighten it another 1/4 to 1/2 turn to À using
Box Spanner
IGNITION
PROCEDURE :
NOTE :
Prior to checking the ignition timing, check all
electrical connections related to the starting sys-
tem. Make sure that all connections are intact.
1. Remove :
• Plug Straight Screw ¿
2. Attach :
• Timing light À
Timing light
Engine tachometer
