1.1 Technical features (BR/BD 100/250 R / BP)
Battery
– 36 volt block battery, 630 Ah, low maintenance
with filling system.
– Battery monitoring with deep-discharge pro-
tection.
Drive system
– 3-wheel running gear with front wheel steering
and front wheel hub motor with electromagne-
tic brake.
– A ram protector is fitted to protect the front
wheel as a standard.
– Forward and reverse drive with a drive pedal,
switchover using selector pushbutton on in-
strument panel.
– The unit brakes automatically when the driver
leaves the seat (seat sensor) or when the drive
pedal is released. The braking process is in-
itiated with an approx 1.5 second time delay.
– When the unit is at a standstill an electroma-
gnetic brake on the wheel hub motor prevents
it from rolling away.
– Additional brake pedal for increased brake
effect through drum brakes.
Sweeping system
– Brush head with two brush rollers or two disc
brushes (two drive motors each).
– Brush rollers rotate from below towards to each
other, disc brushes rotate together at the front.
– Coarse dirt container for coarse dirt picked up
at the brush head (only BR version).
– Contact pressure of the brush head is control-
led by the current consumption of the brush
motors.
– Brushes can be changed without tools.
– Brush head with side sealing strips to limit water
distribution.
– Brush speed can be adjusted using FACT
(Flexible Application Control Technology) ,
depending on the cleaning tasks and floor
surface:
– Power Clean (= 100%)
– Whisper Clean (= 65%)
– Fine Clean (= 40%)

Water system
– Fresh water tanks on left and right sides of the
unit.
– Dirty water tank with float switch.
– Water supply to brush head with water pump.
– 10 Step water volume adjustment with electric
metering valve.
Vacuum system
– Suction motor (EC) draws the dirty water into
the dirty water tank.
– When the maximum level is reached in the
dirty water tank the float switch switches the
suction motor off with a time delay of 10-20
seconds.
– Suction beam with straight or curved design
(optional).
– The suction beam is lowered / raised when the
suction motor is switched on/off. The suction
motor continues running for approx 10 seconds
(after running time).
– Rubber strips on the suction beam can be
replaced without tools.
– Tilted angle of the suction beam can be adju-
sted without tools.
Electrical system
– The control electronics are modular and ex-
tendable.
– The mounting plate with the printed circuit
boards (modules) is located behind the metal
cover to the left next to the floor panel.
– The warning and information module (A0) and
the head CPU module (A1) are located under
the instrument panel.
Note
The service module (A9) may only be used
from a head CPU version 2.1.

selector switch position 8.
head CPU from version 1.2 (from
April 2005), access to the setup menu via
program selector switch position 0.
