7 Adjustment
Pay attention to the followings when maintenance work.
• The specified tensin value is 34.32 ± 4.93N.
• The specified value contains magin of 1.5N. When tension adjustment, do it so that the
tension gauge indicates 34.32 ± 3.43N which contains the margin of 0.5N.

7.6 PF Encoder Assembly Position Adjustment

This section describes the procedure to adjust the PF encoder assembly.
After replacing the PF encoder, adjust the PF encoder position.
7.6.1 Adjustment Procedure
To adjust PF encoder, follow the steps below.
1. Remove the side maintenance cover L.

2. Loosen the screws that retain PF encoder.
3. Align the PF encoder assembly so that the corner covers the periphery of the PF encoder scale, then retain
the PF encoder assembly with screws.
Align the PF encoder so that the encoder scale slit periphery came very close to the corners of the PF
encoder.
