For moving picture shooting, when Effect shot is set, Fix camera shake
is automatically set to [OFF]. Afterward, when Effect shot is canceled,
the Fix camera shake setting before Effect shot is retrieved.
Shooting in High sensitivity
In the low-light situation, take clear pictures with less camera shake.
The low value of ISO sensitivity is suitable for shooting in the well-lit
place, while higher ISO is more suitable for shooting in the dark place
(The higher ISO value increases the image noise).

If set to [Auto(~800)], [Auto(~3200)] or [High (up to 12800)], sensitivity
is automatically set according to the conditions of the subject. The value
of ISO sensitivity is automatically increased within the following range
when there is insufficient light.
Auto(~800): ISO sensitivity 100 to 800
Auto(~3200): ISO sensitivity 100 to 3200
High (up to 12800): ISO sensitivity 100 to 12800

In the still picture shooting screen, press
[Shooting menu]/[ISO sensitivity].

Select the setting/t.
ISO sensitivity which can be set differs depending on the image size.
Shooting while fixing camera shake
<Fix camera shake>
When the image size for still pictures is QVGA: 240×320 or QCIF:
176×144, or the image size for moving pictures is FWVGA: 864×480 or
VGA: 640×480, Fix camera shake is not available.

Select the setting/t.
When shooting a still picture, Fix camera shake is activated in a
location where a camera shake often occurs, such as dark place.
When shooting with Fix camera shake ON, shot images may contain
noise or become darker depending on the subjects or surrounding light.
This is not a malfunction. In such cases, shoot images after setting Fix
camera shake to [OFF].
For shooting still pictures, Fix camera shake is disabled if Continuous
mode is set.
Shooting environment/subject-specific images
<Shoot by scene>
Set the camera to shoot with natural colors and focus based on the
surroundings and subject.

In the still/moving picture shooting screen, press
C/[Shooting menu]/[Shoot by scene].

Select the mode/t.
: To display the description of mode, select the mode and press i.
For shooting still pictures, if Shoot by scene is set, White balance is
automatically set to [Auto].
For shooting moving pictures, if Shoot by scene is set to other than
[Normal], White balance is automatically set to [Auto].
For shooting still pictures, if Shoot by scene is set to [Auto recognition],
a mode is automatically switched to [Normal]/[People]/[Night scene]/
[Landscape]/[Character]/[Food]/[Night + People]. The mode may not be
selected properly depending on the shooting condition and the subject.
