1.5 Installing the Max 8 Plus Unit

Install the unit in a well-ventilated area. If it is to be
placed on a surface rather than in a rack, be sure
that all four rubber feet are in place to allow for
proper air circulation. Do not place objects in
excess of 20 pounds on top of the unit.
1. Connect an analog telephone to any one of
the FXS ports.

Max 8 Plus, initial LAN configuration is done
via a PC connected to the Max through its
serial port, using the HyperTerminal terminal
emulator application (or equivalent), which is
