Net2Phone MAX 410 – Quick Start Guide

Installing the MAX 410

NOTE: The initial LAN configuration is done via a PC connected to the MAX
through its serial port, using the HyperTerminal terminal-emulator application (or
equivalent), which is included with all Microsoft™ operating systems. (This is
optional when DHCP service is not available.) This procedure is explained in
Section 2.1.2.1, Connecting to the MAX 410 Using HyperTerminal.
Proceed with installation as follows:
1. Install the unit in a well-ventilated area. If it is placed on a surface rather
than in a rack, be sure that all the rubber feet are in place to allow for
proper air circulation. Do not place objects on top of the unit.
Please refer to the Net2Phone MAX 410 Hardware Installation Guide and
observe the safety precautions listed.
2. Connect any one of the FXO RJ-11 ports to an analog PBX line (SLT line).
3. Connect the RJ-45 LAN port to a hub or switch.
4. Connect the telephone and LAN cables as illustrated in Figure 2, below.
