Removal Procedures
Label Guide And Sensor Assembly
To remove the label guide and sensor assembly, follow the steps below and
refer to Figure 14.
1. Remove the top cover assembly (page 52).
2. Disconnect the label guide and sensor cables (1) from connectors J12
and J14 on the controller PCBA.
3. Remove the cable clamp (2) from the cable standoff and remove the label
guide and sensor cables from the cable clamp.
4. On the paper and ribbon side of the printer, remove the pan head screw
(3) securing the label guide and sensor assembly (4) to the center panel
of the printer chassis.
5. Open the printhead assembly (5) by pushing the release latch (6) toward
the rear of the printer.
6. Slide the label guide and sensor assembly toward the front of the printer
(approximately 1/4 inch parallel to the center panel) and pull the assembly
out when it clears the panel. Pull the sensor cables out through the center
panel.
To replace the label guide and sensor assembly, follow the steps below and
refer to Figure 14.
1. Slide the two sensor cables and the sensor slide through the sensor
slide's hole.
2. Hook the tab (7) on the label guide and sensor assembly onto the cutout
in the center panel of the printer chassis.
3. Install the pan head screw (3) securing the label guide and sensor
assembly (4) to the center panel.
4. Connect the sensor cables (1) to connectors J12 and J14 on the
controller PCBA.
5. Install the sensor cables in the cable clamp (2) and secure the clamp to
the cable standoff.
6. Check and adjust cable clearances before operating the printer. (See
page 94.)
7. Install the top cover assembly.
