Explanation
NOTE: When this message
appears do not press
any key until after the
label is removed. If you
inadvertently press the
FEED key you will add
blank labels to the feed
queue.
1. A label was detected at the
front of the printer by the
label taken sensor, which is
normal operation when
Tear-Off or Peel-Off Media
Handling is selected.
2. The label taken sensor was
accidentally enabled.
The printer does not detect print
media. This is usually caused by
a break in the media, the media
has run out, or the media is not
routed correctly.
How To Clear LCD Messages
Solution
1. Remove the label from the
front of the printer.
2. The incorrect Media
Handling method is
selected. Change the Media
Handling selection to the
correct option.
1. Install media. If a break
occurred, reinstall the
media. Press the CLEAR
key to clear the fault. Ensure
that the printhead assembly
is completely closed.
2. Check that the media width
adjustment tab on the
sensor assembly is
positioned against the
outside edge of the media to
provide accurate media
tracking.
3. If media is installed
correctly, the transmissive
or reflective sensor may not
be detecting it. Do the Run
Calibrate procedure to
improve the ability of the
sensors to detect the media
being used.
4. Check that the horizontal
position of the media sensor
is directly in the path of the
hole, gap, notch, or black
mark it needs to detect.
