Explanation
The printer operator tried to
save a file using the name of an
existing stored file.
There is not enough flash
memory to store a file.
There is not enough flash
memory to store the file.
There is no flash memory left in
which to store files.
Serial framing error over a serial
interface.
The printer is set for
Transmissive or Reflective
sensing, but a gap, hole, notch,
or black mark is not being
detected.
Solution
Enter the File System sub-menu
of the MAINT/MISC menu and
enable the overwrite files feature
to overwrite an existing file.
(Refer to the User's Manual .)
Install a larger flash memory
SIMM and download the
emulation software again.
Enter the File System sub-menu
of the MAINT/MISC menu. Use
delete to delete unwanted files.
(Refer to the User's Manual .)
Enter the File System sub-menu
of the MAINT/MISC menu and
use the optimize and reboot
feature. (Refer to the User's
Manual .)
Match the serial interface
settings of the printer to those of
the host computer.
1. Make sure the media
installed matches the Media
Sensor selected in the
PRINTER CONTROL
menu.
2. Check that the horizontal
position of the media sensor
is directly in the path of the
gap, notch, or black mark it
needs to detect.
3. Clean the sensor assembly
and paper path.
4. Do the Run Calibrate
procedure. (Refer to the
User's Manual .) This will
improve the ability of the
sensors to detect the type of
media in use.
