CUTTER FAULT
Check Cutter

Explanation
The Cut option was selected in
the MEDIA HANDLING menu
and printer has detected a fault.
The printer cannot find the
engine controller program or the
validation checksum is corrupt.
How To Clear LCD Messages
Solution
1. Check that the cutter option
is installed and connected.
Install the cutter option or
change to the correct Media
Handling selection in the
configuration menu.
2. Check the cable connection
from the cutter assembly to
cutter PCBA. Connect the
cutter assembly cable.
3. Check the cable from cutter
PCBA to the controller
PCBA. Connect the cable
from the cutter PCBA to the
controller PCBA.
4. The cutter may not have
been able to complete a full
cut cycle due to a jam.
Inspect the cutter assembly
for obstructions. Clear
obstructions from the cutter
assembly.
5. The cutter PCBA may have
detected a current overload
and opened the circuit
breaker on the cutter PCBA.
Wait a few minutes for the
cutter circuit breaker to
automatically reset.
1. Cycle power. If the message
appears, go to the next step.
2. Download the program
again. If the message
occurs again, replace the
flash memory SIMM.
3. Power on the printer.
Download the emulation. If
the message appears,
replace the controller PCBA.
Record the message and
return it with the defective
board.
