About This Manual
This field service maintenance manual is designed so that you can locate
maintenance information quickly in the Table of Contents or Index.
Replacing Parts
1. Go to Chapter 4, page 49.
2. Find the removal procedure for the part.
3. Read the entire procedure before you do it, and make sure you
understand all notes and notices (defined on page 14).
4. Gather the tools you will need.
5. Do the procedure.
Ordering Parts
Go to the Illustrated Parts Breakdown, page 99, which contains drawings of
all printer assemblies. Opposite each illustration is a list of the illustrated parts
and their part numbers. When locating parts, note the following:

You can order any part that has a part number. Part numbers are not
listed for common fasteners. Parts marked "Ref" (reference) are not
spared or are part of another assembly.

In illustrations, an arrow and small locator letter refer you to a magnified
detail shown by the larger letter:
